Hurst Tools for Pro and Ultra
J.M. Hurst's cycle tools now sit on every analysis page for Pro and Ultra members.
- NewThe Hurst Tools menu
A new Hurst Tools button at the top of each analysis page keeps J.M. Hurst's cycle tools in one place: Hurst Phasing, the Hurst Envelope and Average Lines. Pro and Ultra members can use them on every analysis. Free members see the menu with a lock and can upgrade from there.
- NewHurst Phasing
Hurst Phasing measures the cycles in your chart, such as 20 weeks, 40 weeks and 18 months, and marks each low with a diamond in that cycle's colour. A table under the chart lists every cycle with its measured length, the time since its last low and where it is now.
- NewNext low window and most likely date
For each cycle, Hurst Phasing draws the window where the next low is due and marks the most likely date with a circle. The same window and date appear in the table, so you can read them without hunting on the chart.
- NewFLD and VTL for any cycle
Tick FLD or VTL next to a cycle in the phasing table to draw its Future Line of Demarcation or its Valid Trend Line on the chart. A price cross of the FLD, or a break of the VTL, is a sign that the next longer cycle has turned.
- NewHurst Envelope
The Hurst Envelope draws bands around price that follow its cycles. When price reaches the edge of a band, it is stretched for that cycle, which is often where the cycle turns.
- NewAverage Lines
Centred moving averages of 32, 128 and 256 bars, which you can change in Average Lines settings. Each line stops half its length before the last bar, because a centred average needs prices on both sides of each point.
- NewCalendar days or trading bars
On daily charts you can count cycle time in calendar days or in trading bars. With calendar days you can also show weekends and holidays as gaps on the chart.
